Tournament loser
So after making it to the final table in my first three Titan Poker tournaments, I completely flopped the other night on two in a row. I know exactly why it happened too. There was a point 30 minutes into the tournaments where I made the transition from a decent poker player to a gambooler. Terrible. I started to let the bad play of others affect mine. K8s in early position? Call with bottom pair? Yeah buddy. I also might have had problems because I was playing three tournaments and a cash game at the same time. Maybe.
After busting out of my two Titan tournaments, I started playing the .25/.50 NL 6 handed game and lost some more money. Luckily for me, I was still in a Party Poker tournament because while playing that I decided to go to 5/10 limit where I hit a straight flush against a full house and then trips against 2-pair AK. I made back all my tournament buyins, rebuys, and even the money I lost a NL, and I made $20. Not awesome, but not terrible either. It was a good ending to a bad night.
I still have a lot to work on when it comes to consistency. I just need to stop paying so much attention other people's play and play my game. And I need to work on it fast, lest I embarass myself at the WPBT.
And in other news, this is why I'm going to open a Poker Stars account. Their commercials drive me fucking crazy, but these guys are going out of their way to support the poker blogger community and that's something I can get behind.

This WBPT you speak of, is this online or in Vegas. I was pretty lazy about reading the link last night, so I thought I might get the Clif Notes version from you. I played in a live tournament at the Bicycle Casino last night so I was a little worn out. I'm going to write about it in my blog today since I was sooo close to the money.
